In the Screwtape letters, the gentle slope heads to hell, we have all heard about being neutral is one of the worst things to do because Christ can spit us out of his mouth, and the right path is the road less traveled. Looking at our options, sometimes it's hard to figure out why we choose the hard and difficult path. However, Christ's mercy and grace gives those on the narrow path hope. So have a good summer!

It is interesting to think of why we continually choose to take the dificult path. In the Letters Lewis proposes the idea that it is when a person puts the immediate pleasure of an act above its composite outcome that we choose to sin. We are always striving towards a place where no sin exists. We are always striving to be sinless. It is interesting to think that we ask for mercy after we realize that what we have done is wrong and that the outcome is not as favorable as we had thought it would be, but we still choose to take the hard path time and time again.
